This historic remodeled Parton Family Cottage is located at the base of the Mountain Dolly Parton was born on! Enjoy the Smokies while rocking on the covered screened porch with a view overlooking bubbling water over large boulders down stream. Bring your fishing poles and catch the bass in the fishing hole or watch the little ones wade in the shallow river in front of the cottage. The swimming hole is just up stream; after a rain, the water rises to allow tubing! You and the kids will love to skip rocks and climb the huge boulders down stream together. At low tide there is a nice beach area for the kids.  The large lawn next to the river has a picnic table and chairs under some great big shade trees, and would be a great spot for an outdoor wedding or large family picnic. Down at the river select a flat rock and write a poem, leave others a message or even paint it and leave it on the porch with the others our guests have created for your enjoyment!
